Stumbled upon this 2017 ADA News article, and it brought back so many memories! 💙

I was fresh out of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency...eager, ready to help, and grateful to put my training to work at Meharry’s first Oral Health Day. More than 280 patients received much-needed dental care, with some waiting overnight. “Tears of Joy” was such a fitting headline.

I stayed the ENTIRE day helping the students, and by the end, my whole body was on fire! 😂 Worth every ache.

Looking at this photo now, it’s just so good to see everyone doing well and flourishing in dentistry. 🥹

I see my Soror and now referring colleague, Dr. Unique Williams; Dr. Preston Harris, who helped with the full-arch reconstruction at DarkCon last year; and Dr. Malcolm Shealer, who I remember being such a passionate dental student!

We were all at different points in our journeys, coming together to serve. Seeing where those journeys have taken everyone makes this memory even sweeter. 🫶🏾

Forever grateful for Meharry and the people it brought into my life.

My mini me. My busybody. A true Libra. A free spirit who marches to the beat of her own drum....and keeps the rest of us dancing! 😂💃🏽 The life of the party and my little mover and shaker!

To know her is to love her. It’s so funny how two kids raised in the same household can be SO different! This one keeps Mommy on her toes, and I love her lil active self so much! 🥹🤎

Happy Birthday, baby girl! Keep dancing, keep shining, and keep being your wonderfully fearless little self. Mommy and Daddy loves you BIG! ♎️✨

Royal James Anniversary Weekend: Day 3. 💙😂

At this point, 11 years deserves a whole excursion.

Brunch bound, coordinated in blue, smelling good, looking good, feeling good… and yes, you know the rest. 😏✨

Still married.
Still dating.
Still matching.
Still having fun.
Still very much outside. 🤣💙

11 years later and this is still my favorite guy to do life with.

11 years married and we STILL like each other bad. 😂🤎

Two beautiful kids, a business we work in together, some incredible highs, some hard seasons, a whole lot of memories… and through every version of life, this guy has been my rock.

We really do ALL the things together. 😂 Marriage. Parenting. Business. Life. And somehow, after working together all week, we still want to hang out with each other on the weekend. Now THAT is love. 🤣🤎

We’re a package deal. A duo. A little married two-person gang. Everybody already knows!

So naturally, anniversary weekend looked like us: couples massages, jacuzzi, poolside relaxing, Dee Lincoln, Snowbird… followed by NorthPark shopping and lunch at Joey’s today.

Nothing dramatic. Just two people still crazy about each other, enjoying the life we’ve built and having FUN while we do it.

11 years down.
Still dating.
Still laughing.
Still building.
Still loving.
Still looking GOOD together. 😏

And apparently… STILL OUTSIDE! 😂🥂

We’ve built a beautiful life together, but one thing about us, we’re still going to DATE each other. 🩵✨

Wait… y’all really thought I only did teeth?! 😂

I’m literally an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon...aka a JAW surgeon.

So yes, I love implants and full-arch surgery… but chin lipo, neck contouring, neck lifts, and a beautifully snatched jawline are very much in my lane too. 😏

I’m looking at the whole lower face like the chin projection, jawline, neck, soft tissue, symmetry, and balance.

Because sometimes the transformation isn’t about changing everything.

Sometimes it’s just a little contour.
A little refinement.
A little SN**CH. ✨

Apparently I need to start showing y’all this side of About Face a lot more.
