Oceans Healthcare and Ochsner Lafayette General came together for the ribbon cutting of Ochsner Behavioral Health Acadiana, a partnership designed to expand access to high-quality behavioral health care across Southwest Louisiana.

This milestone reflects the shared vision of both organizations to meet a growing community need with compassionate, specialized care, and a stronger continuum of support for patients, families, and communities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this meaningful day. We were honored to stand alongside Ochsner Health, One Acadiana, Chamber representatives, local leaders and community partners. To wrap up Nurses Week, we’re celebrating Derrick C., RN, and the support and compassion he brings.

For Derrick, nursing is about advocating for patients, building trust and making a positive difference each day through both clinical care and human connection.

“What makes me most proud to be a nurse is knowing that I can have a meaningful impact on someone’s life, even in small moments,” Derrick shared. “Whether it is helping a patient feel safe, listened to, or cared for, those interactions matter.”
