We are so happy to introduce Laura Ziani as the House Manager of our newly opened 2101 Diane Dr Plano home!

Laura is certainly not new to the Our Cottage family. She has been part of our team for some time, caring for our residents and bringing comfort, kindness, smiles, and positive energy into their everyday lives.

From the beginning, Laura showed us that caregiving comes naturally to her. She has a big heart and truly believes in treating every person with love, dignity, and respect. She loves helping others, listening to them, and making sure the people around her feel comfortable, supported, appreciated, and—most importantly—loved.

That is exactly what Our Cottage is all about.

We have watched Laura grow within our organization, and we are incredibly proud to see her take this next step as House Manager at our Diane home. We know she will bring the same warmth, compassion, and dedication to leading her house that she has already given to so many of our residents.

Congratulations, Laura! We are so proud of you and so happy to have you growing with the Our Cottage family.

Welcome to Our Cottage Family Jamie Parrish!

We are so happy to welcome Jamie to the Our Cottage family. Jamie is a registered nurse with a wonderful background in hospice nursing and case management, and she brings something we value deeply here— a true passion for caring for people. In her role as Care Coordination Manager and Delegating RN, Jamie will be working closely with our residents, families, caregivers, physicians, hospice and home health partners— making sure that care is personal, well coordinated, and centered around each person’s unique needs. What makes Jamie so special isn't just her experience, it's her heart. She is warm, energetic, and truly loves people. Her philosophy fits right in with ours: Our residents aren't just residents— they become family. Family is everything to Jamie too— she's a proud mom of three beautiful children. Jamie, welcome to Our Cottage. We're so excited to have you, and we can't wait for ALL our residents and families to get to know you.

What a wonderful day at Our Cottage in Frisco! 🧁💜
A huge thank you to Jessica Mullins with Reliant at Home and Amy with HomeWell Care Services for volunteering their time and bringing such a fun cupcake-decorating activity to our residents.
There was so much laughter, creativity, color, and, of course, plenty of frosting! 😊 These are the simple moments that bring so much happiness into our home.
We already have the pleasure of working with Amy in several areas, including transportation, companionship, and VA assistance, and we’re looking forward to opportunities to work with Jessica and Reliant at Home as well.
We are so grateful for professionals like these two ladies who not only work in senior care, but genuinely give their time, energy, and heart to our seniors. ❤️

Sometimes, it’s the simplest moments that say the most.
Birds gathering outside our Ambrosia home, soft music playing, someone humming along… while our residents sit together, play games, listen to the music, and simply enjoy watching nature outside the windows.
This is what we want senior living to feel like — not a facility, but a home. A place filled with warmth, nature, music, companionship, laughter, and the little everyday moments that bring joy.

One of the things I love most about Our Cottage at 20000 Fiddlers Green is that nature is part of everyday life.
Whether it's enjoying the breeze with the backyard doors wide open, watching the birds, or taking a stroll around our beautiful walking path, there is always something to smile about.
And then there's Mr. Franklin, our neighborhood turtle, who has become quite the celebrity. Every now and then, he joins our residents on their walks, taking his time, of course. 🐢
It's these simple, peaceful moments that make life here so special. Fresh air, friendly faces, and little surprises waiting around every corner. That's what home feels like at Our Cottage. ❤️
