We get this question a lot (and just as many guesses)!

The name Ahma & Co embody’s who we are. Every syllable was chosen with intention. 🤍

‘Ah’ comes from the Korean word for baby. ‘Ma’ comes from the Korean word for mother. Together they became Ahma — a name that holds both in equal measure, because that is exactly what we do.

And ‘the Co’? Rather than Company, it stands for community: an educated, empathetic village that uplifts every family through every part of the journey.

We’ve been thinking about this quote a lot — especially because it’s coming from someone actively building one of the most powerful AI companies in the world.

AI is changing everything so quickly, but if anything, it’s made us realize how irreplaceable human care actually is, especially in postpartum.

The fourth trimester isn’t something that can be automated or “hacked.” New parents don’t just need answers or information. They need support from real people who are present, attentive, and genuinely care.
