🦈💛✨
It’s been a couple of days since Noa’s clinic visit. We’ve been dealing with some tummy problems with Miss Noa. She’s been refusing to eat, no bowel movements, and just fatigued over all. She finally had a bowel movement today, but still not very hungry. We’re hoping it’ll pass soon. It’s just one of the ever many joys of toddlers going through chemo.
On Tuesday, Noa’s numbers looked great. Her IGG rose on its own, which means her immune system is starting to kick back on and work on its own. Her ANC was in the 900’s, which is perfect in the safety zone, and while her hemoglobin is still low, it’s not in a dangerous place yet, so we keep an eye on it for now.
The only thing we are truly watching with a fervent eye is her liver numbers. We thought when we changed her antibiotic we had put her liver numbers to rest, but they are on the rise again. If they continue to rise, we will need to adjust her chemotherapy dosages and possibly add another medication into the rotation. Her doctor assures us that it’s a common thing to happen, and we trust him entirely. It’s just a wait and see game for now.
Noa’s next appointment will be her second to last lumbar puncture 🎉🎉🎉
We are almost at the finish line! And just before her spinal, we get to take her to the beach with Lighthouse Retreats! 💛 Noa had so much fun last year, we are excited to go again.
For now, please keep Miss Noa in your prayers as we continue to deal with her fatigue. To know Noa, you know she never stops. Her name quite literally means “motion”. So her slower pace the last two days has been unusual.
For now, we are counting down the days until our beach trip, and then we prepare for her 26th lumbar puncture. 💛
See a shark, say a prayer! 🦈💛✨
