Knox Community Hospital is hosting a FREE Community Car Seat Check on Saturday, May 2 from 10am to 2pm at the Wright Family Medical Pavilion Main Parking Lot.

A certified technician is offering hands-on assistance for the proper installation of car seats. Bring multiple car seats; there are no limitations. Expect about 30 minutes per car. Contact Josie Stover for more information at 740.393.9730.

I am so extremely excited about this! So many women, young mamas too, you and older can be effected by so many different things during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum. I have seen far to many do damage to their pelvic floor that could have been prevented. EVERYONE is invited, wether you are newly pregnant or already have had your blessing baby. Dont miss the opportunity to learn more about what we all should know. I know Christine personally and she is Amazing!

The often-cited uterine rupture rate after two cesareans of 0.9% – 1.8% is based on a 49% – 65% induction and augmentation rate.

This is an important factor to consider anytime we discuss VBA2C (vaginal birth after two cesareans.)

As a result, it’s possible that the rate of uterine rupture during a spontaneous labor after two cesareans is lower than 0.9% – 1.8%.

In fact, Macones revealed that of the 379 people who labored spontaneously, 3 had a uterine rupture for a rate of 0.8%.
