ACPMP - Appendix Cancer / Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Research Foundation The ACPMP Research Foundation funds and supports appendix cancer PMP research, education & awareness

ACPMP Research Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that raises funds for appendix cancer and PMP research, education and awareness through fundraising events coordinated by patients and their friends and families.

100% of all funding comes from fundraisers created by patients, their families and friends, as well as individual donations from family members in honor or in memory of loved ones. If you are interested in holding a fundraising or awareness event to benefit ACPMP, we can help! Contact us at [email protected] and let us know what you have in mind. ACPMP is pleased to welcome Dr. Eric R. Lane Sr. as Executive Director, whose leadership will support the organization’s continued growth and impact. Dr. Lane brings more than 19 years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience, including work in rare cancer patient advocacy, health care, youth services, aging services, and higher education. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and has helped secure millions of dollars in funding from corporate, foundation, and federal sources throughout his career. His experience also includes serving as Fractional Executive Director of the Sarcoma Alliance. At ACPMP, he will work alongside ACPMP’s Board of Directors, medical and scientific advisory boards, and the appendix cancer community to expand support for research and education.

Deborah M. Shelton, whose leadership and expertise have been instrumental to ACPMP’s growth and impact, will continue serving as Vice President of Research and Education. For years, Deborah has devoted extraordinary time and energy to advancing ACPMP’s mission, drawing on more than 25 years of experience as an FDA regulatory counsel specializing in drug development and rare cancers. Since her spouse’s appendix cancer diagnosis in 2018, she has brought both deep professional expertise and a personal connection to the community, helping guide ACPMP’s research and education initiatives. We are immensely grateful for her continued leadership and the invaluable experience she brings to this work.
