My entire life it seemed as if the universe was gently nudging me in the direction of yoga. So as I got older and began to discover yoga I was intrigued to find something that fit me so perfectly. A yoga practice offers a way to take care of the body, keep the mind calm and at ease, provide subtle life lessons, and introduce one to a spiritual connection to their own divine self. My yoga practice

has been largely self-taught, while using all available resources I have at hand. Learning in this way helps me to offer well balanced yoga classes that cater to the needs of individuals from all walks of life. It's not just about going deep into the poses but going deep inside yourself to let your authentic light shine. I feel honored to be able to share something I am so passionate about. My ultimate goal as a yoga teacher is to simply bring more peace and happiness into my students lives.

One of the reasons I love hosting my Summer Solstice Sunset Yoga outdoors is that the setting does so much of the work for us.

When you're surrounded by open land, listening to birds instead of traffic, and watching the evening light shift across the landscape, it's easier to slow down and notice the transition into a new season.

This gathering takes place on my property in rural Denton, tucked away down a quiet dirt road and surrounded by nature. There are no crowds, no busy parking lots, and nothing competing for your attention.

We'll spend the evening with gentle yoga, meditation, and reflection as we welcome the official start of summer together.

If you've been craving a little more space, fresh air, and stillness, I'd love to have you join us.

This flyer took time to make. Not because I had to. Because I wanted to.

Every piece was cut from old magazines and yoga books, arranged by hand, and assembled piece by piece. In a time when most people are content to just use AI, hit a button and call it creativity, I still believe there is value in slowing down and creating something with intention.

The same care and thought that went into making this flyer is the same care and thought that goes into every class, workshop, and gathering I offer.

Join me for a Summer Solstice Yoga + Meditation gathering as we celebrate the longest day of the year with a slow, grounding practice at sunset.

“A competent teacher working with older adults navigates medication effects, pain sensitivity, balance issues, chronic conditions, fear of movement, and widely different physical histories. Even within the same room, two people performing what appears to be the same movement may require entirely different cueing, pacing, range of motion, or modifications because bodies age and adapt differently.

Good teaching, like good writing, depends upon something remarkably difficult to fake with a large language model: judgment. A teacher develops that discernment through years of working with people, making mistakes, and refining perception.

When publishers devoid of meaningful expertise present fabricated authors as trusted guides, the problem can extend beyond wasted money or disappointing instruction into actual harm. Older adults approaching movement need careful encouragement and intelligent adaptation, not generic mediocrity wrapped in algorithmically optimized promises.”

The #1 Yoga Book on Amazon is an A.I. Fraud!
(and so are numbers 2, 11, 18, 28, 30, 33, 39, 41, 48)

My latest blog post takes a hard look at Amazon’s Chair Yoga category and exposes something disturbing: a flood of books that appear to be AI-generated, written by fictional authors, boosted by suspicious reviews, and elevated through Amazon’s bestseller system.

A quick update and apology 💛

I try to schedule posts and uploads in advance, but sometimes technology doesn’t cooperate. I apologize that yesterday’s new Mindful Monday practices were not added to the online studio as intended.

They are now available for members - both the Week 3 practice and guided meditation have been uploaded.

This week’s theme is Tapas 🔥 The inner discipline, steady effort, and transformative energy that help us grow; not through force, but through consistency and intention.

Thank you for your patience and support always. ✨

Today offers a moment to pause, reflect, and remember.

We’re planning for Outdoor Yoga this Tuesday & Thursday at Harrison Park at 6pm. The park is beautifully decorated for Memorial Day, making it a meaningful space to gather, move, and reconnect with nature and community.

If weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move class to Dave’s Dungeon. I’ll post updates if needed.

There are so many moments lately where I pause and realize just how grateful I am to teach yoga.

This work allows me to bring together so many parts of who I am — my education, experience, intuition, creativity, and genuine care for others. It gives me the opportunity to continue learning while also sharing tools that can help people feel more connected, grounded, strong, and supported in their everyday lives.

Teaching yoga is more than leading poses or classes for me. One of the most meaningful parts of this work is witnessing people reconnect with themselves — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Watching someone breathe a little deeper, soften their stress, gain confidence, find community, or simply carve out time to care for themselves reminds me why this work matters so much.

I’m incredibly thankful for every person who chooses to practice with me, trust me, learn with me, and grow alongside me. It’s meaningful work, and I feel grateful every day to be able to use my education, experience, and gifts in a way that serves others and supports community well-being. 🤍
