Grounding technique for when anxiety hits: The 5-4-3-2-1 method.

When your mind is racing and your body is tight, try this:

Name 5 things you can SEE around you
Name 4 things you can TOUCH
Name 3 things you can HEAR
Name 2 things you can SMELL
Name 1 thing you can TASTE

This brings you back to the present moment. It reminds your nervous system that you're safe right now. It works.

We teach techniques like this in our healing circles because mental health isn't just about talking—it's about giving your body and mind tools to regulate, to breathe, to come back to center.
