Sometimes the outside of the jaw is only part of the conversation - terrible pun intended.
The masseter can be approached from both sides of the cheek.
This intraoral technique gives you a different angle for exploring jaw tension—especially when external massage feels helpful but incomplete.
The goal is not to find the most painful spot and attack it. Use freshly washed or gloved hands, move gradually, and let sensitivity guide how much pressure you use.
Avoid intraoral work over sores, irritated tissue, active infection, or dental work that has not fully healed.
