This week we have a 🌕 Full Moon in Libra – April 12, 2025
On April 12th, we’ll experience an intense Full Moon in Libra—and it’s not your average lunation. What makes this one particularly charged is the fact that Mars, the ruler of the Aries Sun, is forming a square to both the Sun and the Moon. When the ruler of the Sun is in a tense aspect to the Full Moon, it acts like a cosmic accelerant—stirring the emotional pot and igniting irritability, tension, and even outright conflict.
Mars is the planet of action, aggression, and assertion, and when it's locked in a square with both luminaries, we may feel more on edge, more impatient, and quicker to react than usual. The emotional tone of this Full Moon is heightened, and small annoyances may suddenly feel like major injustices. It’s the kind of energy that brings buried frustrations to the surface—whether in relationships, work, or internal struggles.
What adds another layer of complexity is that the Full Moon is in Libra, the sign of balance, fairness, and diplomacy. Libra wants peace, but not at the expense of justice. It encourages us to consider the needs and perspectives of others, even when we're feeling raw or reactive. Yet, with Mars in the mix, it may be harder to access Libra’s signature grace. We might know we need compromise, but feel pulled toward confrontation or righteousness instead.
Emotionally, this lunation may expose where we’ve been:
Prioritizing others at the cost of our own truth,
Or asserting our will without regard for harmony.
The goal? To find conscious equilibrium between self-assertion (Aries) and mutual respect (Libra)—to fight for what matters without burning bridges in the process.
