You’ve got plans. Take care of yourself so you can keep them. 💙

Lunch with the girls. Trips you haven’t taken yet. Concerts. Grandkids. Hobbies. Maybe a little trouble here and there. 😉

Healthy aging isn’t about slowing down or trying to turn back the clock. It’s about taking care of your health so you can keep showing up for the people, places and things that make life fun.

Stay active. Keep up with your checkups and preventive care. Eat well. And don’t put off talking to your provider when something doesn’t feel right.

Because there’s still a whole lot of life to enjoy.

But that doesn’t mean you need to break up with your pumpkin spice latte.

Healthy eating doesn’t mean skipping the foods you look forward to all year.

Enjoy the latte. Eat the pumpkin bread. Have the cider.

Then keep doing the other things that make your body feel good, too—eat balanced meals, drink some water, move your body, and stick with the routines that work for you.

Some things are better not saved until the last minute. Holiday shopping. Packing for a trip. And your Medicare Annual Wellness Visit. 😉

If you have Medicare and haven’t had your Annual Wellness Visit yet in 2026, now is a great time to get it on the calendar.

It’s your yearly chance to check in with your care team, review medications, make sure you’re up to date on recommended screenings and vaccines, talk about any changes you’ve noticed, and make a plan for staying healthy.

And since the end of the year has a funny way of sneaking up on us, September is a lot better than realizing in December that you never scheduled it.

Your future self will be glad you checked this one off the list. ✓

Last week, Uptown Community Health Center was honored to welcome Victoria Seaman, Regional Director of the Denver Region with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to our health center!
During her visit, Director Seaman learned more about Uptown, our role as a Federally Qualified Health Center in Denver, and how our team works every day to provide accessible, affordable, high-quality care to our community.

🎪 Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us last Friday! 🎉
What a wonderful afternoon it was at Uptown Community Health Center’s Community Fun Day! As part of National Health Center Week 2026, we were so grateful to bring together our amazing community, partners, patients, associates, and families for an afternoon of fun, connection, and celebration. 🥳
From carnival games and bounce houses to cotton candy, community resources, and plenty of smiles, it was a day that truly reminded us of the power of community.
We were also honored to welcome Gabe Martinez from Senator Michael Bennet’s team for a special visit. Thank you for taking the time to celebrate with us and learn more about the work Uptown Community Health Center is doing to provide accessible, affordable, high-quality care to our community.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the event, and continues to support the Community Health Center mission. We couldn’t do what we do without you! 💙
