ALL classes are FREE on a variety of topics (over 80). By dedicating yourself to your Craft, you can work towards becoming stronger in your practice. The subject on August 13th is Auras and Energy. Classes are held on Thursdays at 8 pm EST (New York Time). They are ONLY taught LIVE, not recorded, and are on an intermediate level. You do not need to live in Connecticut to join us.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💀 Welsh folklore tells us that July is an ominous month for omens - beware the weather, marriage, the seas and the Devil’s Messenger:

July is considered an uncertain month for weddings. Marry in July, you’ll live to sigh.

July fogs are supposed to bring the blight in their folds.

If an aged person is taken ill in July, he or she will "surely die."

July is considered a month for "no good anchorage" - unsafe conditions for dropping anchor at sea.

When the sea makes a great noise in July, storms are coming.

The children say that the "devil’s messenger" - the dragonfly - comes "to spy in July", therefore they must be careful in their actions.

If there is rain on July 1, it will be a rainy month.

If it rains on St. Swithin’s Day it will rain for forty days.

A shower of rain in July, when the corn begins to fill, is worth two oxen - a reminder of how vital rainfall could be for the harvest at this stage of growth.

The dog-days are unlucky for new undertakings - the hottest stretch of summer, seen as a draining and unstable period for starting anything new.

Finally, in July the cuckoo "prepares to fly" - a sign that the wheel of the year is turning and summer is already preparing to give way to autumn... 🍂
