Yes!

Recently, one of my Rabbit and Bear pieces found its way into the comments on Jamie Lee Curtis's posts about losing her sister. I'm sorry for her loss, and for anyone who found those words in a moment of grief. That's exactly what they were written for.

A couple of times I quietly stepped in to say the words were mine. And for some, that was enough to start a fight and things have only snowballed from there. It's something many artists and writers know well: our work can travel far and wide, but our names don't always make the journey with it. When we show up to say 'hi, that's mine' — sometimes we're welcomed, and sometimes... not so much.

But here's what I keep coming back to: so many of you do show up for us. You tag us, you correct the record, you share with credit. That matters more than you know.

To those grieving right now, I hope Rabbit and Bear bring some small comfort.

And to this community thank you for always knowing that behind every piece of writing, there's a person who meant every word. ❤️🐰🐻‍❄️
