17-mile toss today! Headed out to 8 Mile and Beech Daly. We’re down two birds for this run—Angel and #13. Angel’s getting ready to lay her second egg, and we don’t want her running into complications mid-flight and calling for an emergency landing. As for #13, he’s missing two primary flight feathers—9 and 10—which are crucial for control and stamina.

Interestingly, the number 17 in the Bible represents victory after trials—like when Noah’s ark rested on Mount Ararat on the 17th day, marking the end of the storm and the beginning of something new. So today’s toss isn’t just a test of wings—it’s a step toward growth, strength, and purpose.

Praying for safe travels and a strong return home for the rest of the team.

We’ve still been putting in work behind the scenes. Had to take a couple days off due to the heat—and unfortunately, we lost 10 birds during those high temps. It’s never easy, but we push forward. 🕊️

The rest of the team is still in training and making solid progress. Every flight is a step closer to perfection. Stay tuned—MotorCity Doves is only getting stronger. 💪🏽🕊️

Today was our first official release, and it couldn’t have been more powerful.
We honored Black fathers—men who’ve carried the weight of the world on their backs and still had the strength to carry their children on their shoulders.

There were a few tears, plenty of smiles, and a whole lot of love in the air.

MotorCity Doves is officially in motion. We’re just getting started, and we’re doing big things for the city.
