Good morning from the park! 🦆🌳
After I posted my first video, I watched it back and thought, “Do I sound condescending?” Then I realized that was just the voice in my own head talking.
Negative self-talk happens to all of us, but it can be especially common with ADHD. The first step is simply noticing it:
“Hey, I’m having some negative self-talk right now. What can I do to feel better? How can I be kind to myself and my mind?”
One of my favorite answers is what I’m doing in this video: getting outside. Baby girl and I went to see the ducks. 💙
Anytime you can move your body a little and get some fresh air, it helps. 🌿 Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Can’t get outside? Walking around your house, your apartment complex, or your front or backyard all count. Small moves can help shift negative self-talk toward something kinder.
Want to talk? Book a free 15-minute consult call through the link in my bio. If that feels like too big a step, you can reach me through the contact form or email on my website. I’d love to hear from you. I’m here for you. 💙
