What counts as “moderate” vs. “vigorous” physical activity? 🤔
Moderate activity gets your heart beating faster, but you can still talk (like brisk walking or biking). Vigorous activity makes it hard to say more than a few words (like running or fast cycling).
Both count toward better health. 💪

The South Carolina State Climatology Office and the South Carolina Drought Response Committee have declared a severe drought condition for the P*e Dee River Basin, including Marion, Horry, and Dillon Counties.

To help ensure an adequate water supply and maintain fire protection services during these drought conditions, the Grand Strand Water & Sewer Authority (GSWSA) will temporarily activate its Drought Management Plan effective July 1.

💧 What this means for customers:
• Excess water usage charges will begin after 6,000 gallons per month instead of the usual 8,000 gallons.
• Customers are asked to reduce or eliminate all non-essential water use whenever possible.
• If irrigation is necessary, please limit watering to hours outside of 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Every conservation effort makes a difference in protecting our community's water supply during this period of severe drought.

For information about GSWSA's Smart Irrigation Program and additional water conservation tips, visit: https://www.gswsa.com/community.cfm?page=35

Questions? Contact GSWSA at 📞 843-443-8200.

Thank you for doing your part to conserve water and support our community.
