Today, Paul Melnuk, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Sana Lake, is celebrating 23 years of recovery! 🎉

We asked Paul to share a few words on this milestone, and he said:

“The only thing better than 23 years of recovery is 23 years and one day.

I once thought being sober meant giving something up. After 23 years, I can admit I was wrong. Sobriety means getting everything back: my peace, my family, my purpose, and myself.

Milestones like this remind me why following the program, attending meetings, asking for help, and staying involved matter. I am honored to share my journey to long-term sobriety. Twenty-three years is a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of community support.

I hope my story encourages others to keep going because long-term sobriety is possible, and a better tomorrow is within reach.”

Paul, your leadership, compassion, and commitment to helping others have changed lives, strengthened families, and shaped our community.

Join us in giving a big shout-out to Erin Law, Substance Use Counselor here at Sana Lake, who is celebrating 10 years in recovery! 💫

Erin shared:
"I'm so grateful to be celebrating this milestone in my recovery. 10 years ago, I would have never believed this was possible. There have been a lot of hurdles to get through, but with good sponsorship, the program of AA, and strong women in recovery, I have gotten here. I'm grateful that today I have created a life I don't need to escape from, and the promises keep coming true!"
