Throughout the summer, our clients participated in a variety of engaging activities designed to make learning fun while supporting meaningful skill development. Sensory activities provided opportunities for exploration, sensory regulation, choice-making, and functional communication, while our exciting water days encouraged gross motor movement, social interaction, turn-taking, and following directions. Clients expressed their creativity through summer crafts, practicing fine motor skills, attending to tasks, requesting materials, and completing multi-step activities. Cooking activities incorporated functional life skills such as measuring, sequencing, following directions, waiting, and safely using kitchen materials. Our STEM activities encouraged problem-solving, persistence, cause-and-effect learning, and flexible thinking through hands-on exploration. Each activity was individualized to meet clients at their current skill level while creating natural opportunities to reinforce communication, independence, social engagement, and positive participation. Most importantly, our clients had a summer filled with learning, laughter, exploration, and FUN!
