In this special extended twist on our classic class, our gnomies take their first big steps into the enchanted yoga gnome land all on their own! Designed specifically as a 75-minute drop-off experience, this class gives growing preschoolers the space to build confidence, explore their senses, and practice independence in a safe, nurturing environment.

Our journey begins with a playful, imagination-filled yoga session where we climb tall trees, leap across sparkling streams, and practice mindful breathing. Next, we dive into sensory exploration-interacting with magical textures like forest playdough or tactile materials that help ground our energy. We then transition into creating a mindful craft project to take home.

We wrap up with a peaceful, cozy rest so everyone leaves feeling happy, and beautifully connected.

Perfect for adventurous gnomes who are fully potty-trained.

Tuesdays 1pm starting this week!!

At The Yoga Gnome, we believe in the power of the little things. Big transitions don’t require giant leaps…sometimes all it takes is a few small, deliberate gnome steps to head into a big, school year ahead!

Here are 5 practical, mindful tips to survive (and thrive during!) the first week of school…and all year long!

1. Create a Calming Evening Rhythm

Consistency creates comfort, but you don’t need a total routine overhaul overnight. Ease into the day by taking small steps the night before- laying out clothes, packing backpacks, and prepping lunches. It will make all the difference in the morning!!

2. Try the 3-2-1 Grounding Reset

When big first day feelings or afternoon overwhelm pop up, teach your kiddo this little mindfulness trick:
* 3 things they can see around them
* 2 things they can feel or touch (like their shoes on the floor or a cozy sweater… sweater weather here we come 😉 )
* 1 deep breath in and long, slow exhale out
This tiny pause pulls the mind out of worries and grounds it right back into the present moment.

3. Trade “How Was Your Day?” for playful connection
When kids come home after a long day, big open-ended questions can feel like hard work. Swap “How was school?” for light, specific prompts that spark conversation without any pressure:
* “What made you laugh or smile today?” (Our absolute favorite)
* “What was a quiet or peaceful moment in your day?”
* “Who was kind to you today?”

4. Carve Out Decompression Time
Going from a structured school day straight into chores or extracurriculars can drain a child’s battery fast. Create a little pocket of unscheduled downtime right after school. Let them enjoy a snack, stretch out on the floor, listen to calming music, or simply rest before taking on the rest of the evening.

5. Celebrate the Small Wins
The start of the school year rarely goes 100% according to plan, and that is completely okay! Take things one tiny step at a time. Celebrate the small victories like finding the right classroom or remembering a lunchbox, and offer plenty of grace to both your kids and yourself as everyone adjusts.

Have the best school year, Gnomies!! You got this!
