Very cool. Has anyone seen the show?

Over the Summer, PBS is brought back a series centered on a character with autism for a second season!

Patience is a series centered on a young autistic woman whose unique perspective and attention to detail help solve complex criminal cases. The main character, Patience is played by Ella Maisy Purvis, who was diagnosed with Autism at 17. The show highlights the value of neurodiversity when creating more visibility and authentic representation for autistic individuals in media.

Think you—or your child—might be autistic, but not sure where to start? 👀

Finding the right autism evaluator can be just as important as deciding to pursue an evaluation in the first place.

Maybe you’ve been wondering:

💭 “Could this actually be autism—or something else?”

💭 “Why does my child seem fine at school but struggle so much at home?”

💭 “They’re doing well academically…could they still be autistic?”

💭 “What if they’ve learned to mask their challenges?”

💭 “Will an evaluation actually help us understand what’s going on?”

These are questions we hear often.

A quality autism evaluation should look beyond a checklist of symptoms. It should consider the whole person—developmental history, strengths, challenges, social communication, sensory differences, emotional functioning, ADHD and other co-occurring conditions, and how those differences show up in everyday life.

And perhaps most importantly, you should leave the evaluation with greater understanding and practical recommendations, whether or not an autism diagnosis is ultimately given.

🔎 Wondering what to look for when choosing an autism assessor?

We’ve put together a guide to help you make an informed decision before scheduling an evaluation.

🧠🌟 Does your child need support with the skills *behind* everyday success?

We’re excited to introduce Building Brain Skills: Fall Social Groups at Neuroconverge! 🎉

These small, supportive groups give kids and teens a chance to practice executive functioning skills in a fun, hands-on, neuroaffirming environment—with other kids their age.

Through games, activities, challenges, and group practice, participants will build strategies for things like:

✨ Attention & focus
🧩 Planning & problem solving
🌱 Flexible thinking
📚 Organization & independence
📣 Self-advocacy

And most importantly, they’ll have opportunities to discover what strategies work for their unique brains. 💚

👧🧑 Ages 3–18 | PreK–12

Very interesting!

Rising temperatures are making it harder for students to learn—and most schools aren’t prepared for what that means.

A new report from APA and the Network for Resilient PK–12 Schools in Extreme Climates looks at how extreme heat affects students’ health, development, and ability to learn, and what schools can do about it.

Such a common experience for late-diagnosed, high-masking, and /or high-achieving women. Add to the list: diagnosed with anxiety and depression early on, with ADHD overlooked. Finding and assessor who understands this symptom pattern and your struggles is key. We can help.
