Community plays a powerful role in supporting mental health. Taking time to connect with others, whether through a conversation, a shared activity, or simply checking in can help reduce stress, build resilience, and create a sense of belonging.

Meaningful connections remind us that we don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Investing in our communities is also an investment in our well-being.

What are some activities that bring you a greater sense of community? Let us know in the comments!

Connect with nature 🌿

Spending time in natural settings can help shift your body from a “fight or flight” state to a more calm, regulated “rest and digest” state.

👉 This can lead to:
• Lower heart rate
• Reduced blood pressure
• Improved mood

Even a few minutes outside can make a difference.

ArcaMind is partnering with Minnesota Logger Education Program and Minnesota’s logging community to provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) training designed to support the mental health and resilience of workers in one of the state’s most demanding industries.

Through practical, evidence-based strategies, ArcaMind is training the logging industry to recognize stress, ensure people feel safe and heard, how they can support coworkers in crisis, how they can help to reduce immediate distress and connect people to practical support and resources.

Together we are building a stronger and healthier workplace for the loggers in rural Minnesota.

Take a look at this article from the Timber Bulletin publication outlining the importance of opening the conversation and making sure no one ever has to struggle alone.
