Hey Healers! Ya know your girl be in the doula streets and doesn’t post often to update yall, but last week was special for so many reasons.

April 8th was my birthday but most importantly is now my doula baby’s (Korra) birthday. Shout out to Aries ♈️. Mama has a successful VBA2C and healthy full term baby girl. I was honored to witness the family grow 🤍

I am a Birth Justice Care Fund Partner through ! The fund is officially open for this year so if you or anyone you know would benefit Doula or Lactation Services at no cost to them, please apply on their website ♥️

In other news, I’m working closely with a postpartum family struggling during their postpartum period and it’s been nice to get back into my postpartum support bag. 🥰 This template is so cute, should I do more monthly updates with it?

31 births, almost turned 32 tonight. So many placentas. 100+ hours doula overnight. Many first birthday parties. Twins!

Please go to page and read his latest post. This is my fiancé and my brother-in-law, Adrian’s experience. I am just rallying behind them. While I can state more details of the harm this organization (not an official non profit) has caused towards their {RESIGNED} Black Trans staff members…. I need my community (and Allies) to simply KNOW the truth. Anne (the executive director of RCC) not only lacks accountability but is a blatant liar. Anne has shown her loyalty to racism, to white supremacy, and to TEXTBOOK micro aggressions and institutional harm. Absolutely not. Too long have Black and other people of color suffered because we don’t want to “air” people out for their behaviors. We allow organizations to get away with using us and then throwing us away. And all in the name of saving face. Of not being labeled combative, of following in the societal expectation of staying quiet, calm, but never honest. [That form of] Punishing the harmed parties for being open about the harm they’ve experienced and at the hands of whom is white supremacy. Quay has never been for that nonsense 😐.

Y’all know me: I will not allow “professionalism” to silence Black and marginalized people. The slander of character and skills towards is classic “Emmett Till” behavior from Anne . This is no longer an acceptable space for BIPOC Marginalized People. White people can do what they please because I am tired of snakes in the grass like her new right hand person, Chelsea. No more will I trust another white woman who says the right things or shines her “I have a degree like you” in my face. From this point on, if you are not doing the work as a white person, you are not believed.

Took the day off, but I’m always working. Nannying, babysitting, and more! We have so many births coming up, including twins🥹…hope I can bring yall along for the ride 🥰

2024 started off ROUGHHH, but ended so highly favored. My financial health was in the gutter, my mental health was holding on by a thread. I was terrified of being a birth doula.

Turned around, made more money than I anticipated for the year. I got new families, made new friends, got a new puppy, I became a CLC… I was dumped and discarded like trash, sooo much grief and shame I hold onto, I failed the most important test of my career, my son got himself suspended from school…I spent another Christmas in FL, my grandma beat cancer, I went to Mexico, I’m in a new house…

I’m excited for 2025 🩷🩵🤍 May reconnections and new connections come. May I see more babies be born. May I make more postpartum meals. May I pass my exam and thrive in the lactation field. May my family be blessed and happy and healthy. May I travel more. May I love more. And may your year honor your needs.
