Our Aya Team had the opportunity to educate and support our community through the Cultivating Wellness family health festival on Saturday. We demonstrated cervical dilation and effacement with balloons and pingpong balls. We discussed our well-person services including screening, birth control, and transgender care.

From student to instructor: that’s the legacy. 🤎 The Legacy Birth Academy Retreat is a space created for Black and BIPOC midwives, doulas, birth workers, and aspiring birth assistants to learn, build community, strengthen their skills, and prepare for the work of supporting birth.

Angelica Lynn once attended Legacy Birth Academy as a student in 2022. Now, she’s part of the team helping train and pour into the next generation of midwives and birth workers. If you feel called to this work, this retreat is an invitation to step deeper into it. ✨ Applications & registration are open. Check out Link in the Bio

Applications and payments are due Sept 15th. The retreat dates are October 1-4th in Virginia Beach, VA !

What could Black maternal health look like in America if Black midwives had the infrastructure to actually stay in the work?
