Spotlight on one of our specialized services! π
Minnesota Mental Health Clinics offers several Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) that provide structured, skills-based group treatment for individuals who need more support than traditional week therapy. Programs combine evidence-based therapy with group support to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen resilience. Sessions run three hours and are led by licensed clinicians trained in trauma-informed care.
Specialty tracks include:
- TraumaWise IOP: trauma-focused, three 3-hour sessions/week, 9-week curriculum
- Perinatal IOP: for those pregnant through 12 months postpartum; 6 weeks, rolling admission
- DaTRAC Skills Group: DBT/CBT skills training; 6 weeks, rolling admission
- Reflections Program: DBT continuation/maintenance; ~6 months, fully virtual
- Anger Management Program: meets court-mandated requirements; 8 weeks, fully virtual
This level of care is ideal for clients who are psychiatrically and medically stable, able to safely participate in 3-hour group sessions 1-3 times weekly without 24-hour supervision, working through trauma, anxiety, mood, or relationship concerns, and would benefit from group-based skills-focused treatment. Clients must be 18+, no longer in high school, and can continue seeing their individual therapist or prescriber while in group.
MMHC provides a full continuum of mental health care across the Twin Cities and Minnesota β from weekly therapy to intensive support.
