EASTCHESTER CIVIC ASSOCIATIONS & THE COMMUNITY FUND TO HOST.. 11th ANNUAL TRAFFIC EXPO – KIDS SAFETY DAY
Eastchester – Eastchester Civic Associations and The Community Fund are sponsoring the 11th Annual Traffic Expo – Kids Safety Day from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 (rain date: M
ay 19) on the Eastchester Town Hall grounds on Mill Road. The announcement was made by Elliot Senderoff, M.D., event chairman. The Expo will feature performances and exhibits by Studio B Dancers; Ki Martial Arts; Lawrence Hospital Center; United Water; and Country Bank. Safety displays and demonstrations include “The Smoke House”; proper car seat installation; free bike helmets; Fatal Vision goggles; K-9 Patrol/SWAT; a Jaws of Life demonstration; Lions Club free vision screening; Photo ID and fingerprinting; and upper cervical chiropractic screen; and blood pressure screening by E.V.A.C. Music will be provided by a D.J., raffles and signature T-shirts will be available for sale, and refreshments are available. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the Traffic Expo – Kids Safety Day poster and essay contest who were selected earlier in the month. In addition, this year there will be an announcement of a scholarship award offered to competing Eastchester High School seniors.
