🚧 Road Construction Reminder 🚧

With the road construction currently taking place in front of Putnam General Hospital, traffic is backing up at times.

We kindly ask drivers not to block the hospital entrances while waiting in the construction traffic line. Our entrances need to remain clear so patients, visitors, staff, and emergency vehicles can safely enter and exit the hospital.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗

Regular breast cancer screening is one of the most important steps women can take for their health. Mammograms can help detect breast cancer early, sometimes before there are any noticeable signs or symptoms. Women should also stay familiar with how their breasts normally look and feel and talk with their healthcare provider about any changes or concerns.

At Putnam General Hospital, we are proud to provide advanced breast imaging services close to home. Our new mammography system provides high-quality imaging for routine screening mammograms, with contrast-enhanced mammography available when additional diagnostic imaging is needed.

You don’t have to travel far to receive advanced breast imaging and compassionate care.

We’re proud to recognize the continued generosity of the Putnam General Hospital Auxiliary! 💙
The Auxiliary recently presented $10,000 to Putnam General Hospital to help purchase important patient-care equipment. These funds will be used to replace a modified chair in our Imaging Department and purchase new wheelchairs for use throughout the hospital.
Our Auxiliary members give so much of their time and energy to support PGH, and their impact can be seen throughout our hospital. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication — and for every member of our community who supports Auxiliary fundraisers throughout the year.
Thank you for helping us continue to provide compassionate, quality care close to home!

Putnam General Hospital is proud to have received the Silver Safety Award from the Georgia Hospital Association Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund in recognition of our excellent safety performance during 2025.

This recognition reflects the commitment of our entire PGH team to maintaining a safe workplace, preventing injuries, and looking out for one another every day.
