The MOSCOT optical roots were first planted in America by Hyman Moscot, who arrived from Eastern Europe via Ellis Island in 1899. Hyman began selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart on Orchard Street on Manhattan’s famed Lower East Side. To this day, MOSCOT is family owned and operated.

With over 100 years of optical expertise, Moscot knows not every frame fits every face. MOSCOT offers multiple sizes so that you can find the right frame for your face. They also offer over 20 custom lens tints, as well as ensuring their pieces are handmade, using the highest quality materials, real hardware, and hinges that are riveted through the temple and frame fronts to ensure the sturdiest construction possible.

While now recognized as a global fashion brand, MOSCOT remains, at heart, a neighborhood optical shop. As of 2026, Bespoke Vision is proud to have a large and curated selection of MOSCOT pieces in-office.
