Great information worth sharing! ✨
Not every floor should be cleaned the same way. Hardwood and other delicate flooring require the right tools, the right amount of moisture, and the proper cleaning method to help protect their finish.
This is also why at CBS Cleaning Services, we pay attention to the type and condition of flooring in each home before deciding on the best cleaning approach. 🧹✨
Sharing this helpful tip from another local cleaning professional for anyone with hardwood floors! 🤍
TOOL SPOTLIGHT: The Norwex Flat Mop 🤩
Personally, I don’t use flat mops for every floor type but they are a great tool especially for maintaining picky hardwood floors.
I’ve learned the hard way that you need to be super careful with hardwood floors and number one is not letting too much water sit on them. This is why I use this specific mopping style for them.
First, I vacuum or dry mop. Then, I use the wet mop pad (but keep it dry) and spritz water lightly on floors and wipe clean. The floors will dry very quickly.
One thing I always discuss in the walk through is how the clients are currently maintaining their hardwood and/or stone floors. This gives me insight when choosing the safest and most effective way to move forward cleaning their home.
Some hardwood is sealed really well and can handle a spin mop, some stone floors clean up perfect with a steam mop, but this Norwex flat mop will always have a place in my business for those more delicate finishes.
Another great use for a flat mop is reaching under furniture and other spots a vacuum can’t reach. The Norwex pads are super high quality and grab ahold of pet hair and dust better than any alternative I’ve tried. It is worth the investment!!
I am a Norwex consultant so please feel free to ask me any questions or discuss investing in a Norwex mop system for your home or business.
