We were honored to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of The Healing Trail at Hugh Chatham Health!

Designed as a place for healing, reflection, movement, and connection, The Healing Trail provides patients, families, teammates, and community members with a peaceful outdoor space to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Whether taking a quiet walk, enjoying nature, or finding a moment of respite, the trail serves as a reminder of the important role wellness plays in overall health.

This project would not have been possible without the overwhelming support of our community. We are incredibly grateful to the donors and volunteers who helped bring this vision to life. Their generosity and commitment demonstrate the power of coming together to create lasting opportunities for health and wellness.

A special thank you to the Elkin Valley Trails Association for their invaluable partnership and expertise throughout this project. Their dedication to expanding access to outdoor recreation and promoting healthy lifestyles has helped make this trail, and many others, a reality for our region.

Respiratory therapist Stuart Shaw, RRT, RCP, has been a valued member of the Hugh Chatham family for the past two years. At Hugh Chatham Health, we offer a comprehensive range of cancer services, including radiation oncology at our hospital and a freestanding medical oncology clinic located on campus. Through our partnership with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, patients also have access to advanced treatments and clinical trials. Last year alone, we provided more than 8,000 treatments, reflecting both the scope and impact of our services.

Receiving care close to home makes a significant difference during a very challenging time. At Hugh Chatham, patients can access care without leaving their community, ensuring they remain close to those who play a vital role in support and healing.
