🌿 THURSDAY REFILL™ | Real Moments. Real Educators.™

You had a planning period.

Had. 😂

You had plans for that time, too.

📧 Answer the emails.
📚 Finish tomorrow’s lesson.
🖨️ Make the copies.
💻 Enter the grades.
🥪 Maybe—just maybe—actually eat your lunch.
And then you hear those famous words from the doorway…

“Do you have a quick minute?” 😩😂

Here’s your EBS reminder: before your automatic “Sure!” comes flying out…

🌿 PAUSE. Do I actually have capacity?
💨 BREATHE. I don’t have to answer immediately.
💚 RETURN. Choose what this moment truly needs.

Caring about people doesn’t require being available every single minute of the day.

Your planning period is part of your workload.

Protecting it isn’t selfish. It’s sustainable.

And sometimes the most appropriate answer to “Do you have a quick minute?” is… “I can, just not right now.” 💚

🌿 WEDNESDAY NOTICE™ | Real Moments. Real Educators.™

You didn’t get through the lesson today.
The activity wasn’t finished.
The exit ticket never happened.

Tomorrow’s plan may need some adjusting.

But somewhere between what you planned and what actually happened…
💚 One student needed a little more patience.
💚 Another needed reassurance.
💚 Someone needed you to notice that they weren’t quite themselves.

And you did.

Educators, we spend so much time measuring the day by what got completed that sometimes we miss what actually mattered.

Maybe today wasn’t behind schedule.

Maybe today made room for what mattered.

🌿 PAUSE. Notice what did happen.
💨 BREATHE. Release the pressure to make every day perfect.
💚 RETURN. Tomorrow, begin again from where today ended.

The lesson matters.

So does the human being sitting in front of it.

Not every meaningful moment appears in the lesson plan. 💚

Pause. Breathe. Return.™

🌿 TUESDAY BREATHE™ | Real Moments. Real Educators.™

You looked at the agenda. 👀
You looked at the clock. ⏰
You looked at the 47 things you still need to do.
And then you heard…

“Before we get started, let’s go around the room.” 😩😂

Educators, we KNOW the feeling.

Sometimes your breathing space isn’t going to happen in a quiet room with soft music and absolutely nothing demanding your attention.
Sometimes it happens right there at the meeting table.

Unclench your jaw.
Drop your shoulders.
Take one slow breath.

You may not control how long the meeting lasts, what’s on the agenda, or whether someone asks a question when everyone thought it was finally over. 😂

But you can create a little space inside the moment.

🌿 Pause. Breathe. Return.™

And yes…the meeting still could have been an email. 😂💚

🌿 MONDAY GROUND™ | Real Moments. Real Educators.™

Before everyone needs something from you… you get to arrive, too. 💚

Before the emails.
Before the questions.
Before the student who needs you right now.
Before the colleague standing at your door.
Before the meeting.
Before the problem you didn’t know existed until 7:42 a.m. 😅

Give yourself one minute.

☕ Put the coffee down.
🌿 Notice how you’re arriving.
💨 Take one slow breath.

You don’t need to solve anything in that minute.
You don’t need to become more productive. You don’t even need to feel completely calm.

Just arrive.

Because the goal isn’t to avoid what needs you.

It’s to return to it grounded—not already gone.

🍃 Pause. Breathe. Return.

Tomorrow, the doors will open.

Hallways will fill. Classrooms will come alive. Calendars will overflow. Students will arrive carrying backpacks—and stories we can't yet see.
Before the first bell rings, remember this: You don't have to have every answer. You don't have to have a perfect classroom. You don't have to carry every burden by yourself.

Sometimes all it takes is...

🌿 A moment to pause.
💨 One deep breath.
💚 The decision to return to what matters most.

The small moments you create every day—a smile at the door, a word of encouragement, a patient response, a lesson that sparks curiosity—become the moments your students remember for years.

As you begin this school year, don't just prepare your classroom.

Prepare your heart.

Your well-being isn't separate from your impact—it fuels it.

Here's to a year of growing, learning, leading, and remembering to care for the educator behind the work.

Pause. Breathe. Return. 🍃

💚 Before you go... What is one word that describes how you're feeling as you head back to school? Share it in the comments. We would love to encourage you.

🌿 SUNDAY RESTORE™

Before you carry it into Monday… ask yourself: Does this actually need to come with me?

The meeting that frustrated you.
The lesson that didn't land.
The email you've replayed three times.
The thing you didn't finish.
The moment you wish you'd handled differently.

You can learn from it without carrying it. 💚

Sunday doesn't have to become Monday's waiting room. You don't have to spend today mentally rehearsing everything tomorrow may require of you.

Pause. Notice what you're still holding.
Breathe. Make a little room.
Return. Not to Monday yet. Return to yourself.

Tomorrow will ask something of you.

Today, give something back to yourself. 🌿

Pause. Breathe. Return.™

🌿 Slow Saturday.

Some of the most important work you'll do this weekend won't appear on a checklist.

It might be sleeping a little longer. Taking a slow walk. Reading a chapter of a book. Laughing with someone you love. Sitting in silence without feeling guilty.

The world often celebrates constant productivity.
Educator Breathing Space™ celebrates sustainable people. Because healthy educators create healthier schools.

So today, give yourself permission to refill instead of constantly pouring.

You don't have to earn your rest.

Just receive it.

Pause. Breathe. Return. 💚

The school day may be over... but sometimes our minds keep teaching long after we've gone home.

We replay the lesson that didn't go as planned.

The conversation we wish we'd handled differently.

The student we're still thinking about.

The email we haven't answered.

Before you begin your weekend, ask yourself one question: What can I leave here today?

Not because it doesn't matter... but because you matter too.

Carry the memories.

Carry the growth.

Carry the moments that made you smile.

Leave behind the weight that was never meant to travel home with you.

🌿 Pause. 🌿 Breathe. 🌿 Return.

Who takes care of the people who spend all day taking care of everyone else?

Thursday has a way of revealing what Monday didn't.

Maybe your energy is lower than you expected. Maybe your patience feels a little thinner. Maybe you've spent so much time pouring into others that you haven't noticed your own cup running low.

Before you give more...

Take a moment to notice what you need.

A drink of water. A slow breath. A stretch. A quiet minute before the next bell.

You don't have to wait until the weekend to refill.

Sometimes the smallest pause is enough to help you return with greater clarity, presence, and purpose.

🌿 Pause. 🌿 Breathe. 🌿 Return.
