The mental debate of a mom who knows what would help but can’t seem to give herself permission to do it 🫠

You know a reset would help. You know 5 minutes would change the next hour. But somewhere along the way you decided that needing a break meant you were failing.

You’re not failing. You’re running on empty with no one telling you it’s okay to stop.

Nobody told you regulating your nervous system was going to be one of the hardest parts of being a mom.

You’re allowed to prioritize your own needs and wants. Without guilt.

And if that feels impossible, ask yourself this: do I want my child to learn what it looks like to take care of oneself? Or to learn to be constantly putting their own wants and needs aside, and left feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, unhappy and unfulfilled?

I know what I want to teach my children…how about you?
