Tired of the costume. I want to be clear. You are not tired of your life. You are tired of who you have to be inside of it. There is a big difference. The version of you at work, the version at the family dinner, the agreeable one, the strong one, the one who has it all together. Every persona you wear costs energy to maintain, the way holding a mask up costs your arm, and some of you have been holding three or four masks for decades. That exhaustion no sleep fixes, this is it. You are not overworked. You are overperformed.

Here is the test. Think of the one person you can be completely yourself around, if you have even one. Notice how rested you feel after seeing them. That is not because they are relaxing. It is because for an hour, or whatever time you spend with them, your arms got to come down and your nervous system got to be free.

The work I do is not about becoming someone new. It is about setting down what was never you, so that the real one underneath is not tired at all.

How many masks are you holding right now? Put a number in the comments. cristhiancadenas.com

Personal growth needs a code, and most people have never written theirs. In February of 2015 I sat down and wrote the one I was going to live by, the lines I would not cross and the lines I would walk no matter what it cost me. Every time I have broken my own life since, it was a line from that page I ignored. Write the first line of yours tonight, one sentence that begins, this is how I live. Write your code before life writes it for you. cristhiancadenas.com

Personal growth, for me, started with a single page. In February of 2015 I sat down and wrote the code I was going to live by. Not goals. A code. The lines I would not cross and the lines I would walk no matter what it cost me. I still have that page.

Everything I have built since came out of it, and every time I have broken my own life, it was a line from that page I ignored. Most people have never written theirs. They run on rules they absorbed from a house they did not choose, and they call it who they are.

So write the first line of yours right now. One sentence that begins, this is how I live. Put it in the comments so it exists outside your head. Write your code before life writes it for you. cristhiancadenas.com. Tupananchiskama.

The most dangerous room in your house is the one where you rehearse old arguments. You know that room. The shower, the car, the kitchen at midnight. You replay the fight, and this time you actually get to say the perfect thing, and this time they finally understand, right? It feels harmless. It is not, and here is why. Your body cannot tell rehearsal from performance. Every replay releases the same stress chemistry as the original fight. The argument happened once in the world, and then you made yourself relive it four hundred times. One wound from them, three hundred ninety nine from you.

In my tradition we would say you keep reopening the cut and then wonder why it will not close. That is madness. Think about this for a second.

So, new rule for the rehearsal room. The moment you catch the replay starting, say out loud, that scene is finished filming. Then give your mind a real task, because it will not tolerate a vacuum. The wound can close. You just have to stop auditioning for the past.

Which room is yours, the shower, the car, or the kitchen at midnight? Tell me in the comments. cristhiancadenas.com

Money mindset is mostly an inheritance. You were five, six years old. Nobody was teaching you, they were just talking at the kitchen table, and your open little system recorded every word as law. Money does not grow on trees. People like us do not get ahead. Thirty years later you are still running the recording. What is the first sentence about money you remember hearing in your house? Say it out loud, then ask whose voice that is. It was never yours. cristhiancadenas.com

Money mindset begins long before you ever earned a dollar. Your first money lesson was not taught. It was overheard. A sentence at the kitchen table. Money does not grow on trees. People like us do not get ahead. Rich people forgot where they came from. You were five, six years old, and nobody was teaching you, they were just talking, and your open little system recorded every word as law.

Thirty years later you are still running those recordings, and you call the results your relationship with money. It is an inheritance, and like every inherited belief system, nobody checked what was in the box before handing it to you. I grew up poor in Peru, so I know my recordings word for word. Finding them was the beginning of changing them.

So here is the excavation. What is the first sentence about money you remember hearing in your house? Write it in the comments, exactly as it was said. Then read it back and ask the only question that matters. Whose voice is that? It was never yours. cristhiancadenas.com. Tupananchiskama.

Who are you arguing with? Stop calling it overthinking. Half the time it is a conversation with someone who is not in the room with you. Watch your own mind tonight, the loop that keeps running while you try to sleep. Listen to who it is talking to. It is explaining itself to someone, justifying to someone, winning an argument with someone. A parent, an ex, a boss from three jobs ago. Somebody moved into your head years back and never paid rent. Think about that for a second. Every round of that loop, your body ships real energy to a conversation that produces nothing. In my work I would call that a leak, one of the biggest ones there is.

So name the tenant. Literally, say it out loud. I am arguing with my father again. I am arguing with my ex again. The moment you name it, the trance loses power, because a trance depends on you not noticing it. You cannot evict what you refuse to identify. Start there and watch how much quieter your nights get.

Remember, the brain does not know the difference between what is happening right now and what happened ten or twenty years ago. If you do not believe me, think about something awful or great that happened to you ten or twenty years ago. Hold it for thirty seconds and notice how your body responds. That is how you know your body will always respond to your thoughts, and your thoughts shape the health of your body. The more these loops keep going around, the more cortisol you pump into your system, and the sicker you get.

Healing anger begins with knowing what it is. Anger is life force that got assigned to guard duty. Somewhere, usually early, something needed protecting, and a piece of your power took the post, and it never got relieved. That is why fighting your anger fails. You are fighting your own soldier. The work is reassignment. You go to the thing that soldier was protecting, you tend to it as the adult you are now, and you give that fierce energy a new mission. Anger managed becomes a cage. Anger converted becomes an engine. cristhiancadenas.com

Healing anger starts with a different question than how to manage it. Your anger is not the problem. Your anger is fuel with nowhere to go. I say this as a man who carried enough rage to power a city. Everyone told me to manage it, suppress it, count to ten. Nobody told me the truth.

In my life the same fire that used to burn everyone around me now holds ceremony, builds a business and protects a family.

Anger managed becomes a cage. Anger converted becomes an engine. This work sits alongside the care of your doctors and counselors, never in its place. When you are ready for the conversion, one conversation begins it: cristhiancadenas.com/sessions. Tupananchiskama.

What the silence taught you. Your family's silences taught you more than their words ever did. Nobody sat you down and said, we do not talk about money in this house. We do not name what happened to your uncle. We do not cry in front of each other. Nobody said it, and you learned it perfectly, because silence is the loudest curriculum there is.

Now you are grown, and you call it your personality. I am just private. I just handle things alone. I just do not like conflict. Look closer. Some of those traits are not you. They are house rules from a house you no longer live in.

Here is the beginning of the work. Ask yourself one question tonight. What was I not allowed to say out loud as a child? Give your body ample time to respond. Write down whatever comes. Do not filter it. That sentence, the forbidden one, is usually standing guard directly in front of the thing that wants to heal and can free you. The rules were theirs. The voice is yours. It is time for you to take it back, be yourself, and shine your light.
