There's a billboard around town that declares: "Not in the mood? It's your hormones." Four words. One culprit. Case closed.

Except desire doesn't work like that. It can be hormonal, and for some people it genuinely is. Just as often, low desire traces to stress, sleep, mood, medication, or the relationship itself. The billboard names one suspect. Good medicine interviews all of them, and knowing the difference is the whole game.
