When asked what she loves most about working in ABA, Alina shared: “I love teaching the smallest steps knowing it can lead to greater independence.”

Sometimes behavior can tell us something—even when a child isn't using words to communicate it.

Looking at what happens before and after a behavior can give us important clues about what the behavior may be communicating or helping the child access.

Understanding the “why” helps us move toward teaching meaningful skills and effective ways to communicate needs.

Why We Love What We Do 🩵

Sara has been a BI with 1-Step Ahead for almost 2 years, and what she enjoys most about working in ABA is receiving feedback from parents about their kiddos’ progress outside of session.

Seeing skills carry over into everyday life and hearing about the progress families are noticing makes the work especially meaningful. We’re so grateful to have Sara on our team and for the care and dedication she brings to the clients she supports!
