October 30 marks the 16th Annual National Day of Remembrance for Nuclear Weapons Workers — a day to honor the men and women who served in the U.S. nuclear weapons program.
This day recognizes their extraordinary contributions to national defense, the hazardous work they often performed in secrecy, and the sacrifices of those who became ill or lost their lives due to their service. The date also commemorates the signing of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) in 2000.
We invite you to attend the U.S. Department of Labor’s Resource Center for Nuclear Workers Appreciation Day —
📍 412 Paseo De Onate, Suite D, Española, NM 87532
🕘 October 30th, 2025 - 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
You can:
• Meet your local Resource Center staff
• Learn about compensation and medical benefits for nuclear weapons workers
• Get your program questions answered
• Enjoy coffee, donuts, and conversation with fellow nuclear workers
At Zia Health Solutions, we deeply appreciate the men and women who have powered, protected, and advanced our nation’s energy, security, and defense systems—often behind the scenes and under challenging conditions. Your commitment to excellence, safety, and innovation has helped shape our country’s strength and resilience.
We encourage those workers who became ill due to their work—or their surviving family members—to explore benefits under the EEOICPA. These compensation and medical benefits can help ease the hardships that many former nuclear workers and their families face today.
💛 We appreciate you — today and every day.
