Today, we’re taking a moment to appreciate our wonderful NEST (Navigation Empowerment Services Team) case managers!

Every day, they help people in our community navigate complicated systems, connect with important resources and services, understand their health care benefits, and find support when they may not know where else to turn.

Case management is about more than connecting people with services. It’s about listening, building trust, and helping someone find a place to start.

We’re so grateful for the compassion, commitment, and care our NEST case managers bring to their work each day. Thank you for everything you do for our community!

Every helping hand makes a difference! Food for Lane County is seeking volunteers to help prepare and deliver meals to homebound seniors. Know someone who would be a great fit? Share this opportunity with them!

We have an urgent need for drivers to help deliver midday meals to homebound seniors in Eugene, in addition to help in the kitchen to package meals and wash dishes.

Because the driver and meal prep volunteer roles are in contact with vulnerable populations, there is a background check requirement. We know that can feel like a barrier—but the satisfaction you'll feel knowing a neighbor ate lunch today because you made it happen is worth it.

Driver shifts begin between 10 and 11am, and routes take approximately two hours and we reimburse for mileage. To help, complete our Driver Interest Form at bit.ly/mowdrive, or call Meals on Wheels staff at 541-607-5065 and we can walk you through the process.

Our Facilities and Custodial team work tirelessly to keep White Bird running smoothly. From everyday repairs to unexpected fixes, they aren't afraid to get their hands dirty (literally!).

Much of their work happens behind the scenes, but their impact is everywhere. Rebuilding the stairs and ramp at our 341 E. 12th Ave location is just one example of how they help create spaces that are safe, accessible, and welcoming.

Because of their dedication, White Bird is a place where clients, staff, volunteers, and community members can feel cared for and supported. We're incredibly grateful for all they do!

September is National Recovery Month.

Sokka is the service dog of one of Chrysalis Behavioral Health’s staff members, and here he is helping us raise awareness about DUII Education. Participants complete a paper test before and after their DUII Education course.

White Bird’s Chrysalis Behavioral Health offers outpatient services for adults seeking support with alcohol and drug use. We believe everyone has the potential to build a healthy, drug-free lifestyle, and we’re proud to support people on their recovery journeys.

Human Resources (HR) work isn't always visible.

It's in the onboarding support, the benefits explanations, the difficult conversations, the problem-solving, the policy questions, and the countless little things that help our staff feel informed and valued. That's what our HR team brings to White Bird every day.

Today, we're recognizing the people who help make White Bird a welcoming and safe place to work. Thanks for helping take care of the people who take care of our community.

In honor of IT Appreciation Day, we want to thank our amazing IT team for their hard work and dedication. From resetting passwords to protecting network security and patient data, they keep White Bird running smoothly from behind the scenes. They help us all stay connected and none of us could do this work without them. We're so grateful for everything they do to help us serve our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Community Care Night with Abilities Diner & Bakery last Friday! We enjoyed partnering with Abilities for an evening of good food, good conversation, and good company.
