🌟 Congratulations to Spencer Community Foundation for serving our community for 30 years ! 🌟

Your leadership and donations to the community help make Spencer County a wonderful place for families to raise their children.

🤝 Through your generous donations, we were able to:
Update our infant and toddler toys
Purchase new infant bedding
Strengthen our safety precautions
Make our school aged summer program a success!!

😊 Thank you once again! 😊

We're proud to congratulate SonShine Child Care on receiving a 30 Years of Giving grant from the Spencer Community Foundation!

This grant will support quality childcare and early learning at Sonshine, from safe sleep equipment in the infant program to new educational toys and comfortable bedding for toddlers, hands-on learning materials and playground equipment for the school-age summer program, and appreciation for the caregivers who show up for Spencer County's kids every day.

Spencer County Advisory Board Member Sue Kloeck shared, "Investing in organizations that provide essential services strengthens the foundation of our entire community. Our children are our greatest asset, and it only makes sense to invest in their high-quality care and social-emotional development—especially in our rural communities—so they can thrive and carry forward the values and strength of Spencer County for generations to come."

We're grateful for partners like Sonshine Early Learning Ministry who help Spencer County families thrive, one child at a time.

This week has been a lot of fun. We have heard stories from Ms. Shannon, had chapel time, to dancing to our favorite songs.

As the summer comes to an end our school age children went to Mesker Park Zoo last Thursday. A huge thank you from us at SonShine to all the parent volunteers that went as chaperones and took some children with you.

🚒St. Meinrad Fire Department wrapped up our Summer Demo Days with an amazing visit!

🌈The children at SonShine Childcare had a wonderful time learning about firefighters, exploring the fire truck, seeing the equipment up close, and discovering how firefighters help keep our community safe. It was a fun, hands-on experience that sparked excitement and curiosity in every child.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the St. Meinrad Fire Department for taking the time to visit us and make our final Summer Demo Day such a memorable one. We are grateful for your service, your dedication to our community, and for investing in the lives of our children. 🙏

☀️What a fantastic way to close out another successful summer of learning, exploring, and meeting the everyday heroes who serve our community!

Flying high! 🚁

Spencer County AirEvac’s visit to SonShine and St. John’s during VBS week was a blast! A special thank you to Spencer County Emergency Management Services and the New Boston Volunteer Fire Department for making this memorable day possible.

The children were thrilled to see the helicopter land & take off, explore the fire trucks, and learn about the important work these community heroes do to keep us safe. Experiences like these create lasting memories and inspire young minds.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our daycare and share this exciting experience with our children. It is something they will remember for a very long time!
