📍Evansville, IN. My passion for bodywork began as a child. Barnes' seminars.

I am passionate about helping people get out of pain and back to living life. My mother would have me walk on her back and give her back rubs to ease her aches and pains. As I progressed into high school and college, I continued studying massage techniques on my own while I worked on family and friends. I received a Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design in 2004 but decided to return to school aga

in at the age of 29 to become a physical therapist assistant. In 2011, I graduated from the University of Evansville. It wasn’t long after that I discovered John F. Barnes Myofascial Release in 2012, when I attended my first seminar and instantly was drawn to the work. At the time, I was a physical therapist assistant working in a nursing home. I was using the techniques I learned on patients with great results. While continuing to take Myofascial Release seminars I met a therapist from Scotland who introduced me to Kinetic Chain Release, which was developed by Scottish Physical Therapist, Hugh Gilbert, who had also taken the John F. I began travelling to the east coast, Scotland, and even Hawaii to learn from Hugh Gilbert. I was fortunate to study with him from 2014 until his passing in 2019, and was able to take all of his seminars from him personally. Hugh introduced me to the Hawaiian healing arts. I went on to study with Aunty Maile Spencer-Napoleon who taught me Kalua Kaiahua’s style of lomilomi, and how to infuse Aloha into everything I do. I graduated from Bodyworks Massage Institute in 2019 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist to allow me to provide Myofascial Release on my own so that I could help more people. I continue to travel and take seminars from John F. Barnes so that I may bring the highest level of healing to my clients through Myofascial Release.

There’s no right way to be on the treatment
table. You can talk. You can sleep. You can
pay attention to every sensation. You can
let your mind wander. You can keep your
eyes open, or close them and disappear for
an hour. You don’t have to know how to relax.
You don’t have to know how to receive.
You don’t have to make anything happen.
You show up exactly where you are
and we start there.

I can meet you on the table. I can listen.
I can follow what your body is showing me.
I can create space for something to change.

But I can't do your part for you.

What happens between sessions matters.
This work is a partnership and your part
doesn't end when you leave the table.

I discovered Steve Maxwell about 23 years ago, and his approach to movement, mobility, and taking care of the body had a big influence on me. I wrote these words down years ago, and they’ve stuck with me ever since.

What is your message?

"That you don't have to suffer in this life. You don't have to have a miserable existence. You don't have to age like some of my relatives did. You don't have to just give in and just die piece by piece. You don't have to spend the last 20 years of your life dying. Live the life that you have. You were put on this Earth for a reason. It certainly wasn't to get obese and to get diabetes and be this weak, sickly person. Take those gifts that you were given and, above all, stay with it. Don't just give up. This is just preparation. Death is not the end."
— Steve Maxwell

Getting older is inevitable.
But getting older doesn’t mean we have to slowly surrender our ability to move, participate, explore, or enjoy being in our bodies.

We get one body in this life.
Take care of it. Use it. Live in it.

We all know which one I am. 🦊

The belly is one of the most important areas of
the body, yet it’s also one of the areas we
almost never touch.

Your belly isn’t supposed to feel hard, sore,
guarded, or armored.

We brace. We hold our stomachs in. We carry
stress there without even realizing it.

When the belly begins to soften, sometimes
the rest of the body follows.

There’s a reason I work on so many bellies.

So….which one are you? 🐰 or 🦊
