People often ask me what therapy is like with me.

I think a better question is why people stay.

After more than 20 years as a therapist, one thing has become clear: people don’t come back because I have all the answers. They come back because they feel understood, challenged, and supported.

Therapy with me is collaborative. We talk about what’s happening today, but we also look at the patterns, the history, and the beliefs that keep showing up. Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes the conversation is uncomfortable. Both have their place.

I’m not here to tell you what to do, and I’m not here to agree with everything you say. My job is to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, notice what you might be missing, and help you make sense of it all.

You don’t have to arrive with the right words or even know where to start. That’s something we’ll figure out together.

Therapy isn’t just for getting through a crisis. For many of my clients, it becomes a place to regroup, gain perspective, and keep moving forward, even when life is going well.
