As we approach International Self-Care Day (July 24), what does your typical self-care routine look like on a weekday?
Oftentimes, we try to incorporate massive self-care changes that don’t fit into our daily schedules or align with our financial goals. Over the course of the next week, what if we intentionally implemented one small self-care strategy each day? How might things change for us? How might our bodies and minds respond?
If you are looking for quick and inexpensive ideas to get started, feel free to try any of these:
1. 🌲10 minute walk outside > Improves cardiovascular health and mood
*no cost
2. 🧘10 minute mindfulness exercise > Supports stress reduction and improves focus
*no cost
3. 🏋️♂️10-20 minutes of strength training > Improves flexibility, strength, and stress relief
*minimal cost to no cost
4. 🥕Meal prepping for the week > Improves nutrition and reduces spending
*minimal cost
5. ❌📱Limited electronics an hour before bed > Improves sleep and reduces anxiety

6. 💆♀️Consistent 7-8 hours of sleep > Improves immune function, improves cognitive performance and mood

✨Self-care isn’t selfish; it is preventative health.
