Today we celebrate International Firefighters Day! A huge thank you to everyone who has served their communities—we appreciate all that you do.

We’d also like to congratulate firefighter Caleb Heinze and Torri Heinze on their recent wedding! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.

At the same time, we’re sad to see Caleb and Torri go as they move out of state ☹️. Thank you both for everything you’ve done for our department and the community—you will truly be missed! ❤️

Here’s a throwback video of a DNR plane dropping fire retardant on a large grass fire we battled 8 years ago. It’s not every day we get aircraft working right alongside us!

We were called to Harstad Park early today to conduct a search operation in the river for boaters who went missing. The outcome of the incident was positive. We appreciate the assistance provided by Augusta Bridge Creek Fire and Rescue and Township Fire Department - Eau Claire, WI. This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, and we’re proud to recognize a couple of dispatchers who are part of the Fall Creek family.

Benny Williams has served with us for many years as an Emergency Medical Responder, and Shawnda Kaeding is a former Emergency Medical Responder. As the reluctant wife of our Fire Captain, Jamie, she’s also been deeply involved with the department for more than 30 years.

Telecommunicators are the unsung heroes of emergency services—the calm voice on the other end of the line when help is needed most. We’re incredibly proud to have both Benny and Shawnda serving our community, not only here in Fall Creek, but also for the whole County in the Communications Center.

Friday night we took part in the annual Augusta Bridge Creek Fire and Rescue bowling fundraiser, and like always, it was an awesome time. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! The chicken feed was a success. We served around 350 meals total. Events like this help us to buy special equipment that we couldn't otherwise afford. Which ultimately helps us to better serve our community. Your support today could help save a life tomorrow. Thanks!! 🚒🚑
