Incredible things happen when you feel love…you truly want to spread it around. Goals today, doing just that.

Wandered around with a notebook in hand this morning…my thoughts…if I feel this good, I want to drop notes to people that help me keep my heart the brightest..so they feel good too.
When I drove past one of my favorite businesses, I immediately pulled over to give her a note too.

What happens when you give love?!? You get it back triple fold.

These kids went from knowing no one in the neighborhood…until I had the brightest idea ever 💡

Why not bring copious amounts of hoops & see who comes out for needed community time.

The kids I care for have seriously lost everything…including their Mom, Grandparents & more.
They’ve only been her for a couple months now & it’s been a culture shock coming from Florida & then shortly moving to New Jersey to here.

They’re excelling in our school system & it’s my goal to get them involved in our community & make deep connections.

So yesterday, 9 neighborhood kids & their parents were celebrating in the yard because they seen the hoops.
They played for hours & built things out of them as well. They even made Hop Scotch.
honeysuckle, these hoops keep bringing people together. I can’t even begin to say how thankful I am for you creating these for us all to enjoy. You’re the best!

Bath bomb creation station complete!
As I got out our ingredients & seating, I found lil L on the floor.
Our household has been experiencing exhaustion as everyone has either been sick or overextending themselves.

So L asked if we could just do regular salt soaks. Hehe, I was totally on board because I’m also very tired.
We moved things to the couch for a relaxed setting & discussed the importance of being ok w/not tackling everything we had planned.

We then deeply discussed how caregivers, single parents & situations where people don’t have a choice but to plunge thru their own illnesses to keep caring for others….because no one else is there to take the wheel.

I sure would love to say…stop, take a break or you’ll also end up on the floor, however I know better because it’s not always possible.
The importance for me is knowing that my kids have a firm grasp on this.

So today, instead of saying “take a break” we’re sending lots of love to all that don’t have that luxury….like lots of love 😘🥰🤗

My inspiration for this mini retreat-a bold, brave & sassy 10yr ago old.
She’s a long way from home since losing her Mom & has 2 brothers by her side at all times. Needless to say, I’m creating some much needed girl time. 😅
I intentionally made these activities hands on, so she could let some of her worries float away & focus on herself.

Think I nailed it, because she said it was the best day & felt like she was in heaven. 😊

Afterwards, one of her brothers asked to talk to me privately & said….with puppy dog eyes “Miss Amy, I would like to have a special day with you too” 🥹
It was hard trying to hold back my tears because it was one of the most genuine conversations I’ve had in a long time.

Since the boys aren’t particularly into spa stuff, I’ll have to dust my thinking cap off & create something equally special for them. ♥️♥️♥️

We jumped at the opportunity to see John Noltners presentation last week. It was about his media project that uses storytelling & art to rediscover what connects us.
It’s truly inspiring how him and his wife have uprooted their lives to travel, see & to share what’s going on in the world.
As you can see by the photos, food also helps us connect. 😄🍕😋
A big thanks for sharing your project, positivity & pizza with our community. 👏👏👏

These two experience high anxiety levels when I’m not present…even if it’s a minute.
Bruno’s made tremendous efforts & now can be at home by himself, however it took me years of leaving him for 30 seconds, building up to minutes & hours. All he wanted to know is that I was coming back.
Even after those therapeutic years, he still doesn’t do that well in a vehicle.

Our fur babes visibly show us signs of their anxiety, however us humans have developed clever ways to hide it.

So this post is our reminder to keep checking in on our friends, because sometimes it’s simply being invited that keeps us all going….even when we’re not able to show up.

If you told me that someday I’d have 3 more children walk into my life, I would’ve said you’re cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs & ya ate a wee too much 🤪

Well, 3 weeks ago that’s exactly what happend 🤩

Seen a FB post that a family was in need, as the kids lost their Mom. They moved from Florida to N.J. to be close to family after that tragedy, however they had another series of deaths in the family & now have no one to help.

The Dad is an impeccable worker, so his boss moved them to the FM area from N.J. to be closer to his trucking work routes.
I cried when I heard they lost everything…like everything.

I’ve never seen a Dad try so hard for his kids while struggling w/his own grief.
That’s where our family comes in! I’m taking care of these beautiful kids while the Dad works to get them back on their feet.

Hehe, the kids call me Miss Amy & are so grateful for everything.
Our school system has also welcomed them w/open arms & the kids are getting top notch grades because of this, even after a couple months 🙌

Our family knows what it’s like not to be accepted, so my goal is to keep building a strong network for them to keep flourishing.

Without the help of my husband .dahl, there’s no way I could do this. Seriously, I fell in love w/him all over again after 15 years because of his sincere efforts ♥️♥️♥️

There’s so much that this family needs & will figure out how to fundraise a vehicle and things I can’t do myself.

In the meantime, we’re just gonna keep jamming & bringing the love together & sharing it 😍😊✌️🎶🥁🎹🎺🪇

Bahahaha…6 kids…I still can’t believe it 💓♥️💓♥️💓

Had the best time at Prairie Rose Farm & Folk school doing just that 😃

My heart grew while being around these beauties & felt so grateful for my friend that got me there. ♥️

Have you ever left a business feeling like you wanted to run home & make them the most delicious cake ?!? Well we sure did 🥰
For many years, my youngest has been asking to get her ears pierced…we just had to find the right place. We totally found it 🥳

My primary job as a human & parent, is finding affirming care so I can share it.

After the piercing, L said- “Mom, I give this business a 10 out of 10. 🤩
It’s not a surprise because the owner has over 20+ years of experience in his industry. Also, in our visit, we discovered that we support the same local businesses. 🙌

We received oodles of information about after care & that completely melted Ls anxiety away.

Wether you’re someone who gets regular piercings or a newby, you’re going to be family

Thank you Chuck for giving us the BEST care…we appreciate you!

Oh my, found the fountain of youth & you’ll never guess where it’s at…right here in MHD.
Some say it comes from the heart…it does, however sometimes we need that huge jolt to help us ignite it.
What we did, is call & they hooked us up. Sure, we needed new appliances, however they assured me that they have boxes for everyone at their warehouse.

Now that I have a more expansive view on how to stay young…never let your imagination retire…ever 🙌
Looking forward to seeing all the forts you create.
I’m so serious!

Heart captivating conversation has filled our household while we’ve been doing some needed renovations to our home. As I got my supplies organized for the day of texturizing the walls & ripping out carpet, my youngest wanted to have a sit down conversation about it all.

She said-
Why don’t we hire someone?
Me-because I want to apply all the many skills I have & I’m also mad crazy 😜
Leif-what if someone needs these things & can’t afford someone to help them…like people with disabilities, Grandparents, people that are coming out of homelessness.

As I was speechless, she cracked open the drywall primer & has pitched in 100% since…even painted her own dresser. It sincerely looks like she’ll be a future volunteer for a variety of things for people in need. Did I do anything special as a parent, no…I’ve just simply led by example.

As I proceed to do my daily activities & spread kindness, my heart is filled in knowing that so many others are doing the same.

Cheers to everyone that’s insists on making a world of possibilities for everyone….we love you 🤩😍😘🥰

Seriously, this pot was in our frigid porch…no way anything could grow.
I’m thinking these things are coming thru because we’ve fallen on hard times.
Me & the kids are over the moon with excitement & can’t wait to care for this lil bean 💚
