EmpowerHer

EmpowerHer The mission is to end the stigma surrounding pregnant women and mothers with children who struggle with addiction.

We offer a compassionate supportive environment where women can seek recovery, rebuild their lives, and thrive. We offer support groups by intake process and referrals. We continue continuity of care with peer support and case management with access to basic needs and resources. Our big goal is to establish housing in the future that allows women to be housed with their children in a safe environment with childcare on site while they are seeking recovery/treatment services.

Last night marked our 4th session with Cohort 2, and it was nothing short of transformative.
This wasn’t just a meeting—it was a moment. A collision of courage, honesty, and women choosing something different.
Our speaker, Janna J, brought over 20 years of recovery into the room and delivered what can only be described as truth with backbone. She didn’t just speak about parenting through addiction and recovery—she embodied it. The kind of lived experience you can’t teach, only earn.
What followed? Real dialogue. The kind that doesn’t stay surface-level.
Questions were asked that mattered. Conversations unfolded that were raw, complex, and deeply necessary—for mothers navigating relationships with their children now, and for those fighting to rebuild them.
This is where healing happens. Not in isolation—but in community.
And speaking of community—ours showed up in full force.
A heartfelt thank you to our board members Stephen Hurley and Erica Berg for stepping in to provide childcare, creating space for these women to be fully present. And to one of our incredible alumni moms, Cheryse, who came back to support—that is the ecosystem we’re building. Full circle. No one gets left behind.
We are not just running sessions.
We are building a support system, a standard, and a community worth belonging to.
Big Shout out to Tanya at Tees Tacos and helping us with a fast order of the best frybread tacos in town! Everyone leaves fed, satisfied, and Empowered.
We are deeply grateful to First Lutheran Church for continuing to provide a beautiful, welcoming space—not only for our sessions, but for our children to connect, play, and simply be kids.
And behind the scenes, Stuart with Tiwahe Media Production was there capturing it all. The moments you don’t always see—but the ones that matter most. We’re excited to share what comes next.

We got the amazing opportunity to go into Cass county jail women’s meeting last week with F5. When arriving there unaware I would be sharing my story (thank you Dela 😏)
The experience sent me into a different light of what my presence looks like for the EmpowerHER program. The authenticity brought me back to a time in recovery when sharing was really raw. When it wasn’t about being politically correct. It was about being vulnerable and relatable. I left feeling different. I hadn’t shared my story like that in a long time. It goes to show that the work that is done is healing on both sides. I am proud that our community comes together the way that it does. I am grateful for the connections we make with our peers no matter how fleeting or impactful they might be. It all matters. Thanks- F5 Project - Fargo for letting us share that opportunity.

We had a special guest for the women at Cass County today! 🩷

Thank you Tory Queensley for sharing your testimony & the beautiful work you’re doing at EmpowerHer!

🌸 Gratitude to Hope Blooms
Flowers have a way of saying what words sometimes can’t.
Beauty. Renewal. New beginnings.
We are deeply grateful to Hope Blooms, a local nonprofit that repurposes flowers into breathtaking arrangements for people in our community. They donated a stunning bouquet for each of our graduating moms — and the room was transformed.
It wasn’t just décor. It was dignity. It was celebration. It was “you deserve beauty.”
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible board member Casondra, who made this happen. She secured the donation, coordinated the details, and personally picked up the arrangements to ensure everything was perfect.
To Hope Blooms — your generosity added grace and warmth to a night these mothers will never forget.
This is what lifting each other up looks like. 🌸💜

💧 Gratitude to Scheels
When women do the hard work of rebuilding their lives, the details matter.
A fresh start deserves something tangible. Something solid. Something that says, you are worth investing in.
A huge thank you to Scheels for donating high-quality Hydro Jugs for our EmpowerHer graduates. These weren’t just water bottles — they were symbols. Strength you can carry. Daily reminders to stay filled, stay focused, stay moving.
And a very special recognition to our board member Natalie, who not only arranged this generous donation but customized each jug with the EmpowerHer symbol. She turned a gift into something personal. Intentional. Powerful.
To Scheels — thank you for supporting mothers who are rewriting their stories.
Community partnership changes lives. 💜

✨ Holiday Magic, EmpowerHer Style ✨
This week, we had the absolute honor of pouring into the women who trust us with their stories. Every participant received a hand-curated self-care gift—fuzzy socks, bubble bath, face masks, candles, chocolate, and empowering cards—assembled with intention, sealed with handwritten notes, and wrapped in love. Because our moms deserve to feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Period.
We gathered at our incredible church home, shared a cozy pasta dinner (plus donuts because joy), and continued building momentum in our curriculum—officially halfway through all 12 sessions and thriving. 💜
Huge gratitude to Jacy and her beautiful baby Aria, and to Kristina, for bravely stepping in front of the camera and helping us share this moment. These women are the heartbeat of EmpowerHer.
Serving women in recovery isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are. And there’s nothing more powerful than watching women feel good, feel safe, and feel supported.
Here’s to sisterhood, softness, strength, and a future full of possibility. ✨
