In honor of world breathwork day, I’m offering free mini breathwork session right here in IG live, 7 am M- F this week 🌙🧘🏼‍♀️

Join for one session or all 5.

The theme for this years world breathing day is “inspiring solutions”. During times of crisis, conscious breathing has been proven to support people in maintaining or recuperating physical mental and emotional balance and as a result, efficiently deals with trauma. AKA breathing had healing powers.

The idea behind world breathing day is that by all coming together and collectively choosing to breathe, feel and heal we will in turn inspire solutions that will bring more peace, unity and collaboration for ourselves and our communities, in a time when this is so deeply needed world wide.

It’s a pretty cool concept, huh?

I’m so excited to offer these mini sessions this week here on IG and hope to see you guys hop on 🙏🏻

ps. please feel free to share.

Morning hike w the fam to clear my head + set some intentions for the next month 🍁🍂

About a year ago I started to set intentions, instead of goals after realizing that somewhere along the way, goal setting had become entangled with perfectionism, especially when it came to diet + exercise.

A goal is measurable and specific. It has a time frame attached and is has a clear outcome. You either hit your goal or you don’t.

I would set goals like “I will complete this workout program as scheduled, with out any rest days”. My intention would be to commit to something that would help me to feel more energized, stronger and overall healthier.

And because I am really good at “pushing myself” and working hard and holding myself accountable (to a fault) I’d most often hit that goal, even if it meant pushing through an injury, working out when I wasn’t feeling well, or getting up for that 5 an workout after being up all night with a teething baby. I’d hit the goal at the expense of my original intention. And I’d I didn’t hit the goal, I’d beat myself up, often getting in the mindset that I in someway failed.

When I shifted to setting intentions instead of goals, I was able to listen to my body and remind myself daily, what it was I wanted to be feeling, accomplishing + experiencing.

This has been one of the most powerful shifts I have made both for myself and for my clients in my coaching business. Because honestly, if you lose sight of your intentions then was that hustle + hard work really worth it?

My October Intentions:
✌🏻 My health, mental and physical is my highest priority
✌🏻I give my business as much love and attention as my 9-5
✌🏻I am PRESENT when I am with my children
✌🏻I set healthy boundaries for myself when it comes to friends, family, work, news and social media
✌🏻I welcome more flow + less force

What are your intentions for the month?

(Even if you already wrote out your goals, I invite you to go back and write out the intentions behind them to help you stay in alignment with what it is you are actually working for).

Powers Back On 💛

Yes we are self quarantining after our mini get away to R.I. but it was worth our sanity 1000 x over.

Deep breaths + lots of love to everyone still without power, or who is struggling elsewise right now.

Maybe you can’t “run away” ..

It’s still ok to create mental space between yourself and the things that are overwhelming you.

It’s safe to take a deep breath, give your mind a rest from the overthinking, anxiety and stress.

-a walk outside
-15 minutes of conscious breathing
- headphones in and a perfect playlist

are all strategies I use to unhook my mind and create that space when I can’t up and walk away.

💛 you’ve got this.

DM me if you want any tips on the breathing part. It’s def my jam.
