What makes someone a Healthcare Hero? For Mark Cronin, it’s often the little things that become the big things.

As a Medical Social Worker with Hospice of Western and Central Massachusetts, Mark takes the time to learn what matters most to each patient, whether that means talking through the things still on their “bucket list,” finding ways to make those wishes possible, or simply connecting through music.

That personal connection is at the heart of the care Mark provides. He understands that hospice is about so much more than a diagnosis. It’s about the person, their story, the things they love, and making the time they have as meaningful as possible.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mark as one of BusinessWest’s 2026 Healthcare Heroes! This recognition is so well deserved, and we feel lucky to have him as part of our Hospice team.
