Freedom Finder’s event “From Fear to Freedom” is bringing Dr. Ramani Durvasula, Dr. Catherine Barrett and Dr. Christine Cocchiola to the Fayetteville Public Library on October 17, 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm. This event will bring conversation domestic violence, coercive control, post-separation abuse and the impact of the various systems on survivors and their children. Not only will these topics be discussed, but there will be several opportunities for YOUR questions to get answered by these experts during the event. Some questions you might ask on whether this event is meant for you: Are you a part of law enforcement agency? Are you a part of the legal system (judges/attorneys/prosecutors)? Are you a mental health professional? Are you a teacher? Do you have a loved one you think is in an abusive relationship? Are you a part of an organization that works with survivors or their children? Are you a survivor? If you answered yes to even one of these questions, then this event is meant for YOU. This event is meant to start a conversation and bring awareness to some incredibly hard, but important topics to understand. Today’s the day!!! The tickets for Freedom Finder’s event featuring Dr. Ramani, Dr. Cocchiola and Dr. Barrett are live! We are so excited to bring them to NWA and that this event will bring education, advocacy and change to our state. The event will take place on October 17th, 2026 from 10-4 with lunch included. There will be live Q&A opportunities with the speakers throughout the event too. We can’t wait to see everyone there.

This event is the first of its kind to come to our area but hopefully not the last. Dr. Ramani Durvasula, Dr. Catherine Barrett and Dr. Christine Cocchiola are so excited to come to NWA and share their knowledge and expertise with members of the legal system, therapists, teachers but most importantly with survivors of domestic violence and abuse. Freedom Finder is working tirelessly to make sure this event encompasses everything from education about abuse, coercive control and legal implications while also including ample time for Q&A with the speakers. The event will be from 10 am-4 pm on Saturday, October 17th and lunch will be served during the event as well. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, August 16th at 11 am.
