A Sentimental Reflection: Writing Your Own Eulogy

Lately, I’ve been thinking about something we rarely talk about — not just death, but the story we leave behind.

What if, before that final chapter closes, we take a moment to write our own eulogy?

Not out of vanity. Not for praise. But as an act of deep reflection. As a way to honor the journey we’ve taken, the people we’ve loved, the lessons we’ve learned — and maybe even the things we wish we’d done differently.

Writing your own eulogy isn’t about rehearsing the end. It’s about remembering that we are the authors of our lives. That we get to hold the pen while we still can. We get to decide what moments define us, what love we carry, what impact we hope to leave behind.

It’s a chance to tell the truth — not the polished version someone else might read aloud, but the real one. The laughter, the struggle, the small victories that no one saw but you. The quiet mornings that changed you. The people who saved you. The dreams that never came true, but still mattered.

There’s something beautiful about being able to say, This was my life. To be the one who gives it meaning, in your own words, while your heart is still beating.

So maybe this isn’t a goodbye.

Maybe this is a reminder: tell your story while you still have time.

You are still writing it. Make it one you’re proud of. 🕊️ That’s why I’ve created “Last Words Spoken & Coffin Confessions,” let me help you write your story and be your voice after you go.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to honoring truth, legacy, and the power of final words. This business is built on two distinct yet interconnected services:

Last Words Spoken

Everyone deserves to be remembered in their own voice. Last Words Spoken is a deeply personal service where I meet with individuals nearing the end of life to help craft their story—capturing their essence, experiences, values, and final messages. Together, we write a eulogy that reflects who they truly are, not just how they are remembered. Then, at their service, I deliver those final words on their behalf—offering families and friends a moment of closure, comfort, and truth from the voice of the one they’ve lost.

Coffin Confessions

Because some things are too important to take to the grave. Coffin Confessions is a service for those who have something left unsaid—a secret, a story, or a truth they’ve carried. In a private, judgment-free space, I work with individuals who want these messages shared after they’ve passed, whether for healing, honesty, or peace of mind. When the time comes, I ensure these confessions are respectfully and confidentially revealed to the intended recipients.

Together, Last Words Spoken and Coffin Confessions offer a powerful way to preserve truth, honor identity, and create lasting emotional closure. This work is about more than death—it’s about helping people feel seen, heard, and remembered exactly as they wish to be.
