Mike wasn’t the kind of man you meet twice. Mike was a man of integrity, strength, leadership, and compassion. He was a man that would extend you grace and meet you where you were at, and give you the tools you needed to get you where you wanted to be. Mike is a man whose absence is truly felt.

Let this loss not be bigger than his impact. Let this loss push us to continue to honor his light. Live in strength, live with compassion and continue to reach new heights.

Mike, thank you for all that you did not just for those at Recovery Collaboration Project, but in the recovery community. Our hearts our with Everyday Miracles Peer Recovery Community Center, and all those impacted by this loss💜

Today marks 25 years since International Overdose Awareness Day began. That’s 25 years of raising awareness for the lives lost to the disease of addiction. 25 years of putting faces to names, sharing their stories, and honoring their memory. 25 years of remembering that every life lost was so much more than the way they died. 💜

On Thursday, Recovery Collaboration Project had the honor of hosting the Overdose Awareness Vigil in the City of Fitchburg. Together, we remembered the loved ones we have lost to this disease and spoke about who they were; their lives, their stories, and the impact they left behind.

A special thank you to the City of Fitchburg for trusting us with the opportunity to bring our community together for such an important evening. We are also incredibly grateful to each of our speakers who stood up and shared their experiences, their grief, their strength, and their recovery, reminding others that recovery is possible and that there is always hope.

We cannot do this work alone. We must continue to stand together, support one another, and make sure the lives we have lost are never forgotten.

Here’s to continuing to spread awareness, spread hope, and collaborate. 💜
