Most of us expect change to happen much faster than it actually does. We recognize a pattern, decide we want to do something differently, and then get frustrated when it doesn't immediately feel natural.
But that's not how change works.
One of the things I say to almost every client is, "Let me plant a seed."
I like to explain that awareness comes before change.
Many of the patterns we're trying to change, like people-pleasing, overthinking, difficulty setting boundaries, constantly staying busy...have often been practiced for years. They won't disappear overnight.
So, we plant a seed.
We notice the pattern. We become curious instead of critical.
We start making small adjustments.
And over time, that seed grows into something that feels much more natural.
Growth rarely happens all at once. More often, it happens one small moment of awareness at a time.
